Education Response

We love how unique and different each child in our programme is, and so we nurture and develop their individual gifts and talents as best we can.

Through our sponsorship programme, all children get the great foundation of primary education, vocational skills training and a mentor to help them plan for their future. This puts them in great stead for the future and we want to make sure we continue doing all we can to help them achieve their dreams.

Through RESPOND, we can keep our curriculum up to date, relevant and appropriate for each community we work in, we can expand our vocational training programmes to offer courses that are current and applicable for our children and we’re also able to extend our programme to give parents adult literacy classes.

RESPOND in Action

Thanks to the support of Compassion’s Education RESPONSE, 16-year-old Stravinski from Haiti has received training to help him develop his love of painting into a real business.

With the help of a professional tutor, Stravinski has created a business plan and learnt how to market and sell his work. He’s confident that he has the skills and knowledge to create a business and become financially independent in the future.

“My dream has always been that I become a great painter,” he says. “This is a dream coming true today.”
