A little girl who needs heart surgery

The team from Compassion El Salvador are pleased to share that Daniela’s recent check-up went really well. Daniela now has a definite surgery date - her operation is scheduled for August 23 2017 when specialist doctors are visiting the area with an American missionary organisation.
During the appointment, Daniela’s doctors went to great length to reassure her mum. They carefully and patiently explained the importance of the operation and the improvements it will bring to Daniela’s quality of life. Daniela, her mum and the project tutors went home feeling at peace.
Please continue to pray protection over Daniela’s health. She still needs to put on weight and has been struggling with cold and flu symptoms.

Compassion El Salvador asks us to persist in prayer for Daniela and her family. Sadly her mum is being reluctant to take Daniela to her Compassion project. The staff team are visiting her at home as regularly as they can to provide support, advice and encouragement. Daniela's health seems relatively stable but there are fears she is losing weight.
Please pray for Daniela's appointment with the specialist on the 28. Ask for God to bless the relationship between project staff and Daniela's mum. Pray for continued protection over Daniela as she waits for her surgery.

The team from Daniela’s Compassion project are visiting her every week to check on her progress and provide nutritional supplements and emotional support. Give thanks that a major check-up has been scheduled for 28 November in preparation for Daniela’s heart surgery. Praise God that her mum is coming to terms with her diagnosis.

Nora Díaz, our Field Communications Specialist in El Salvador, has sent through an update on Daniela:
“I recently spoke with Daniela’s project director who explained that Daniela will have another check-up next month because her mum didn’t take her to her previous check-up as planned. Daniela’s heart, according to the X-rays, is still big and requires attention. The project staff are doing all they can to convince Daniela’s mum that the surgery will help her but she is still too worried for her daughter to let her see the doctor. Project staff will go with Daniela and her mum to the next check-up to ensure they understand the importance of this surgery.”
- Please pray for Daniela and her mum during this difficult time. Ask for them to be given God’s peace and comfort.
- Pray that God will calm Daniela’s mum’s fears about the surgery.
- Lift up the success of the operation.

Pray for four-year-old Daniela from El Salvador, who needs open heart surgery. Pray her pre-op check-up goes well, and that the operation is free of complications so she can heal quickly and get back to being a little girl!
