Answered prayers following Typhoon Melor

Typhoon Melor made landfall in the Philippines on the evening of 14 December 2015, forcing over 700,000 people to leave their homes.

Elsie Cendaña leads a Compassion project in Magallanes, one of the badly affected areas. Reflecting on a difficult few weeks, she gives thanks for many answers to prayer. 

"We praise God because all of the children found shelter inside evacuation centres," she explains. 

Elsie shares many stories of God providing for children's needs. Sunny is the mother of sponsored child, Mike. She explains, "The church [Compassion’s partner, Lamb of God Global Mission] was very helpful. [After] Only a few days we received groceries like rice, sugar, soap."
