Stories from Compassion graduates

Every year thousands of young people graduate from our world-class child development programme. Each one has an incredible testimony of God's provision thanks to a Compassion sponsor and their local church.

Men and women born into crippling poverty tell stories of how they’ve been given the education and encouragement they’ve needed to become teachers, nurses, politicians, carpenters, plumbers, lawyers and engineers ...

Richmond's story

"I can remember when my mum said to us there was no money for food.  But then a teenager, only 15-years-old, decided to sponsor me."

Sameson's story

"The course of my life changed when I was registered for the Compassion Child Sponsorship Programme. When my life seemed to be at a standstill, God sent Compassion to brighten my future."

Rose's story

"My mother passed away three days after my delivery. My father couldn't look after me. I didn't have any hope, but Compassion did something great in my life."

Leslie's story

"I felt happy because I knew on the other side of the world there was someone who cared for me. Now I'm studying dentistry and it's all because of the church and Compassion."

You can play a part in the next child's story. Become their sponsor and release them from poverty.
